We thank you for reposing your faith in TEAM PDA by giving us a clean sweep of all 16 seats with a huge margin in the just concluded Mumbai Press Club elections. We also thank you for taking the time off in these difficult circumstances to come and vote. Nearly 600 members cast their vote, making the election process vibrant and participative.
Team PDA also takes this opportunity to thank all those who fought the elections but did not win. They put up a good fight and kept the election process clean and positive.
We take our overwhelming win as an endorsement for not only rejecting the regressive and fractional policies adopted in the club for the last two and a half years, but also a mandate to build the club with a new forward-looking vision.
The challenges in days to come are serious. The media industry is undergoing a serious meltdown, and hundreds of our colleagues are facing job losses and pay cuts. The club too is staring down the barrel of a financial crisis. These issues can only be tackled with your support and participation.
Let us come together and build the Mumbai Press Club once again.
